gettin girly

Yesterday I painted Grace's toenails for the first time. They are bright pink and I love it, but Grace isn't so sure. Now everytime Grace looks at her bare feet she says, "Oh no, no. Uh-oh." Haha, she is so concerned that something is wrong with her feet that I have to show her mine to let her know they are okay!

Pumpkin picking

We decided to take advantage of some of the beautiful weather we have been having and went out to go pick pumpkins. Normally I would just go buy them at the grocery store, but I couldn't miss out on a chance to take pictures of Grace! We headed over to Petersen Family Farm to scope out what was left (I am pretty cure most people have already bought their pumpkins). Grace had a fun time exploring and "driving" the tractor!

Tiny Dancer

Thanks Aunt Sarah for the tutu! Grace adores it! The perfect accessory for her dancing parties.

We like to dress up and party

As promised I have more pictures to show. There are pictures of four festivities: the pre party at the groom's house, the Sikh wedding, the Hindu wedding and the reception. It was just amazing to get to see my extended family again after so long. Grace did as well as expected and Dave got along with everyone great. Here is a glimpse into an extravagant Indian wedding!

At the pre-party with my cousin Romica.

Outside the Sikh temple on Friday morning with my three gorgeous cousins.

At the Hindu wedding on Friday night. It was at Sherwood Country club and was just beautiful. After the ceremony there was dinner and dancing. I am wearing a saree, Grace is wearing a Salwar Kameez and Dave is wearing an Indian type suit jacket. (I know there are better pictures of us from that night, but this was all I had for now).

This is from the reception held at the Bacara resort in Santa Barbara.

After lots of dancing.
Eating a nice dinner with my sisters.

My mum and my sisters Becky and Rachel.

My dad with my cousins
This is what happens with centerpieces at 3 in the morning.

Yeah for photobooths!

And not to be forgotten, my cousin Subir and his beautiful bride Smeeta.

A Whirlwind Summer

I have been putting off this post because I feel like I have too much catching to do, but here goes in small tidbits:

-Music Man wrapped up and I am already staring to feel the pangs of theater withdraw.
- We went camping up American Fork canyon with the Swanson Clan. This was Grace's first time camping and she survived, we survived and I did not freak out about all the dirt on her. Grace had a great time playing with her cousins and we had a great time pigging out and playing games.

- My sister Becky, her hubby Brian and their two cute kids came to visit us. They stayed up at Snowbird, but we still made sure to see lots of each other. We had so much fun with them and hope their visits become regular!!!

I wish this picture wasn't fuzzy!

- Grace wore pigtails for the first time.
- We went on a seriously fun whirlwind trip to California!
I had been looking forward to this trip for a long time and we made every moment count! You know it was a good vacation when you come back crazy tired from a week of partying!
We started out driving through the night and arrived early in the morning at Sarah and Cody's house in Hayward. We spent our time with them by first taking the girls to Fairyland.

We also went downtown to hang out at fisherman's warf and eat some yummy seafood.

But mostly we enjoyed letting the girls play together and playing games late into the night.
Next up for our big trip was a visit to my uncle's house in Union City. We enjoyed a tasty bbq with lots of cousins and some In-n-out burger (one of three visits throughout the week.) We met up with my parents and nephew, packed up and went on to the next leg of our trip, Los Angeles.

We stayed first at my Aunt's house in Cerritos. We were greeted with tasty curry and fun late nights. We headed over to Huntington beach to give Grace her first ocean experience and make sure Cameron got to build a sand castle.

That's it for now...the four days of wedding festivities pictures are next up. Here is a sneak peek:

Happy 4 Years

Happy four years of marriage to Dave and I!We had a pre-celebration yesterday by going out to dinner and today we celebrated by serving at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. I took one shift from 3 to 8 and Dave was a good sport and took two shifts from 3 to 11. Though this meant that we didn't get to spend the day together, it's alright because it was pretty cool getting to spend so long just hanging out in the temple. It is wonderful to think that four years ago we spent this day in the temple as well and that we are sealed together forever. I love him more than ever and feel blessed to call him my husband.
