A Case of the Mondays

Monday, February 9th:
Me: get mastitis and have to got the doctor to get treated and am out of commission for a few days.
Grace: She is mad at me for ruining her meals and is getting over a cold.
Dave: Has to take off work to look after his girls and does a great job.

Monday, February 16th:
Grace: Had to go into the hospital for SURGERY to drain a neck abscess (an infection filled lump)and had to stay at Primary Children's for 4 days.
Me: Feeling better, just worried about Gracie.
Dave: Took the day off again to take care of his girls, he was Fabulous and I couldn't have done it without him there.

Monday, February 23rd:
Dave: Woke up with a fever, aches and congestion...had to take another Monday off of work.
Grace: Healing from the infection, but also woke up with a cough and congestion (praying she did not get RSV from the hospital and keeping a close eye on her breathing).
Me: Surviving. Taking care of the two above.

Needless to say...we have a case of the Mondays. Since all three of us have now been sick I really hope that next Monday is just a regular day and we can get back to routine.

Though I have to say I am officially ready for a vacation.

Here is a picture of Grace before her surgery with her IV:

oh and you are so lucky that dave can take time off for those things! how would we do it without them?

didn't you know the rule of thirds? things break in three's. I am convinced this rule has to do with trials and sickness too. So just know you had your third and you should be good until the next round. Glad everyone is ok! it's kind of nice that everyone got to take turns being the caregiver and patient :)

awww man, you guys really have had a rough month. I'm so happy things went well with Grace. She looks so lethargic in the pictures.
We are praying for you guys and hope you all get better... fast!

Man, I hope things go up from here! Poor everyone! I will pray that you all have a speedy recovery! The pictures of little Grace with the IV make my heart sad for her.

I'm glad everyone is okay, sounds like a really rough month. Such sad pictures of Grace. I will cross my fingers for you come next Monday. Isn't is wonderful when your husband is able to take care of you. Keep getting better!

sheesh.... and I thought my life was rough cuz I stubbed my toe twice yesterday.... so, you can't nurse anymore? I've heard mastitis is horrible. Looks like she stayed calm through the hospital ordeal... what a blessing! Brianna would've freaked out.
